What we do

Outside the house, and in.

It started with windows and it still mostly is. Over the years the vans picked up the jet washer, the gutter kit and the carpet machine, because the same customers kept asking.

Window Cleaning

Reach and wash or the traditional method, whichever suits your glass. Doors and frames are included with every clean, not charged as an extra.

High Pressure Jet Washing

Driveways, patios, paths and graffiti. The dirt that has been ground in for years comes up and the surface looks like it did when it was laid.

Gutters and Soffits

Gutter clearing and soffit cleaning, done off the pole or the ladder depending on the property. No mess left behind on the ground.

Conservatory Roofs

Roof panels, frames and finials washed down properly, so the light comes back through the glass instead of the green.

PVC Restoration

Tired, weathered PVC brought back rather than replaced. Frames, sills and door surrounds cleaned back to the white they started at.

Carpets and Upholstery

Carpets, rugs, sofas and upholstery. The same care indoors that we give the outside of the house.

Rob Gibson Window Cleaning has been serving the community since 1969. It is still a family run business, and it still works the same coast: Whitley Bay, the seafront, the streets behind it.

That length of time is the whole pitch, really. Customers stay for years and the lads know the properties. One customer put it better than we could: they have used us for many years, and the staff have always been courteous, friendly and professional.

Doors and frames are included with every clean. We are fully insured with public liability. And someone will always knock and say hello rather than just take the money and go.

How we clean

Two methods, and we pick the right one for your glass.

Some properties want the pole. Some want a ladder and a proper hand finish. We carry both, so nobody gets the wrong one just because it is what is on the van.

Reach and Wash

Purified water up a pole, no ladder against your wall and no boots in your borders. It gets to the upstairs glass, the soffits and the conservatory roof from the safety of the ground.

Traditional

The old way, and for some windows it is still the best way. Up the ladder, by hand, with someone footing it. Older glass and awkward frames often come up better for it.

Living by the sea

Salt, sand and seagulls. We know what the coast does to glass.

Windows just off the seafront take a beating that inland houses never see. Salt spray dries on and hazes the glass, sand pits the frames, and the gulls do the rest.

Our customers say it plainest. One told us her windows get in very bad condition from the sea weather, living just off the seafront, and that we clean them to a very high standard anyway. Another had the seagulls make a mess of his, and the guys came straight out.

We work homes, commercial frontages and everything between, across Whitley Bay and the North Tyneside coast. If you are not sure whether we come to your street, ring and ask. The answer is usually yes.

Great friendly window cleaners always ready with a few friendly words. Clean my windows to a very high standard particularly hard living just off seafront where windows can get in very bad condition from sea weather. They also wipe down all frames too. Colin who collects the money is always very friendly even when out in the worst of weather. Highly recommend great service doing a hard job

The seagulls had made a mess of the windows, luckily the guys came straight out and spotlessly cleaned them. A good bunch of hard-working lads, who ensured the job was done! Excellent service, will definitely be using their service again. Thanks very much!
